Overview

Kavita Shetty is a multidisciplinary entrepreneur, media executive, and brand strategist with over two decades of experience spanning financial services, FMCG and corporate brand management, digital media, entertainment, and content-led businesses.

She is the Founder & Managing Director of Movietone Digital Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., a digital-first media and IP company operating across music labels, films, OTT and YouTube distribution, devotional and heritage content, and intellectual property monetisation. Under her leadership, Movietone Digital has evolved into a structured content and rights-management ecosystem that blends creative storytelling with platform-driven scale, disciplined monetisation, and long-term IP value creation.

Kavita is recognised as one of the first women in India to establish an independent music label named "OnClick Music" (2014) and among the youngest brand managers in the FMCG sector, having held senior brand responsibility at the age of 29.

Kavita began her career in the financial markets as a Financial Advisor, developing a strong foundation in investment discipline, compliance, governance, and business risk assessment.

She later transitioned into brand management and marketing leadership, working with reputed organisations such as BASF (The Chemical Company), Nivea India Pvt. Ltd., Amra Remedies, Big Sam Snacks & Foods Ltd., Reliance Securities, and HDFC Standard Life.

Across her corporate career, she has managed cumulative marketing and brand budgets exceeding ₹100 crore, working closely with leading Indian and international agencies. Known for her execution rigour and strategic clarity, she has handled large, multi-sector portfolios across FMCG, financial services, healthcare, and consumer brands.
